Comfort Through Innovation

The Moto-Skiveez® pad for the ADVENTURE style is the most complex of all Moto-Skiveez designs.

It is comprised of a base malinga cloth, three different types of foam and a silver ion infused covering.

This pad is engineered to provide comfort and functionality for a multitude of riding styles. This pad is designed for the rider to move from seating to standing and shift from forward to rearward on the seat.

The padding in the seating area of this design has multiple densities formed with both concave and convex elliptical curves. This feature provides added comfort as the rider moves forward and back.

One of its primary functions is to provide comfort for long hours adventure-touring, testing the abilities of the modern dual sport motorcycle to corner at high lean angles as well as ride off road.

Additionally this design features two padded extensions, positioned on the inner thigh of each leg. These extensions have vertical padded ribs with ventilation openings. This is to counteract friction and chafing from repeated standing and seating experienced by aggressive off road riding.

Bought mine in 2021 and have used them on three long trips of over 2.5k miles, and can definitely say they prevented the burning/numb bum syndrome that I had previously experienced without them. Was reminded to write a review as someone asked about them and said that there were not many reviews on them. Well worth the money in my opinion. Used on a KTM 500exc-f

I recently bought the Adventure version of Skiveez from here and my opinion is that they do work. I ride a BMW 1200GS and the first slightly longer ride confirmed this.There are a couple of downsides though. As another reviewer said, there's no fly so as a bloke you have to pull them down to take a piss. I nearly always wear a long john base layer too, on top of the Skiveez, making it even more awkward so you have to pull down your trousers, base layer and the Skiveez. Means your arse is probably hanging out which is unacceptable really at the urinal. For this reason I would tend to use a toilet cubicle.The other much more minor downside is that they feel odd, like you've shat yourself or are wearing a diaper. You get used to it sitting on the bike but it's more noticeable when walking around, not to others but you feel it. But again, you get used to this.On balance, I'd say they are a good buy.But if you don't mind all that, they certainly work for me in reducing the discomfort of long periods on the bike.

Gave my Moto-Skiveez their first outing today.Fair to say they have really impressed me.Apart from the expected benefits whilst riding they proved not uncomfortable whilst wandering about. Thanks for the sizing advice to Shauna - perfect fit.It was not a huge journey but enough that I would normally have started to feel the seat. Today I did not.As a "chap" I only have one comment - the lack of an opening "fly" is a bit of downer. Another male freedom gone ;-)If the weather keeps up I'll give them a longer test next week.Chris

I tried these out at the weekend much more comfortable than the plank of a seat on my Z1000' yes they are expensive but they dried quickly when washed so good for touring.I followed others advice and went for the Adventure version for my naked bike. I particularly noticed that moving around the seat relieved annoying numbness much more easily.Review originally submitted 23/07/2017
