Took delivery of these today after only ordering them less than 24 hours before……… fantastic service from Adventure Bike Shop and can thoroughly recommend not only the boots but also the shop.The initial trepidation of ordering footwear online and particularly after some reviews stating the need to order a size bigger was soon dissolved after trying them on and finding out they fitted just fine. I’m a size 10 and these Klim size 10’s fit just fine. There is even enough room to replace the inner sole for orthopaedic insoles. So, I’m very happy with the fit.Regarding the BOA lacing system, it’s the first I have used it and so far it seems okay. When out walking, I’m finding that I do need to just tighten them further after 5 minutes of walking. This isn’t because they slip but because after walking the wire laces even themselves out thus needing a wee tweak just to make them nice and tight. One of the main reasons for getting these was due to the BOA system as I have a spinal injury and bending over to tie my laces on my walking boots is particularly painful; these boots have resolved that problem perfectly.I will mainly be using these as my everyday work/walking the dog boots as they provide as much, if not more comfort and protection compared to my Saloman Quest boots (which are very good).For short around town and relatively slower speed rides on my MT09 I’ll be happy to wear these. However, as they do not provide shin protection, I’ll still use my “proper” motorcycle boots for further afield rides.On the bike, they are okay. The main plus is that there are no metal eyelets to scratch your rear sets, as I discovered my Salomans were doing!! The left boot has a more leather protection at the front for changing gears compared to the right boot which is well designed. As the soles are thicker than normal motorbike boots you do not have as much feel on the pegs for the brake and gear selector, but you soon get used to them.The finish is very good quality and even though they are rather expensive, I feel like it’s money well spent and I look forward to using them for pretty much everything!!!
