Whether on demanding off-road terrain or long-distance touring, the Touratech Defensa provides reliable protection for sensitive handlebar controls and your hands. The ultra-rugged construction made from high-strength forged aluminium forms a stable protective frame that prevents damage in case of impacts or falls.

The closed design is supported at both the handlebar end and near the clamps, fully enclosing the controls – a concept proven in rally racing. Thanks to the bike-specific design, sufficient clearance ensures unrestricted lever movement without interference.

The modular Defensa system offers maximum flexibility: from the minimalistic off-road version (Defensa “Pure”) to the touring-oriented “Expedition” version with additional wind protection. An optional spoiler can further enhance weather protection.

A sporty driving style can often result in the handlebars twisting on the fork bridge. This is prevented by joining the handlebar mounts.

Raising the handlebar results in a more upright, much more relaxed seating position. The adjustment range of the handlebar angle is increased, which further increases rider comfort.
The Touratech handlebar riser also makes riding while standing less tiring, which is of tremendous benefit to taller riders in particular.

The overall result is a noticeable increase in stamina and concentration. Long stretches on the motorway are less nerve-racking, and even fast, difficult sections off-road are easier to handle.
