High grade 304 stainless steel construction. Designed and produced in the UK by craftsmen. Very robust, durable extremely high quality engineered product.
Regrettably, the TFT display on the BMW R1300GS and Adventure models is only secured with three circlips and a wiring plug. This makes it incredibly easy for opportunistic thieves to remove and steal, resulting in a hefty replacement cost of £1,200 per unit plus potential additional fees of up to £3,000 for replacement of the damaged wiring loom.
Despite the resounding success of our standard brace (and the thefts it has stopped) we have been contacted by some riders who have told us that the thieves have ruined the brace (and possibly the TFT screen) by bending the corners up (please read the genuine email from a customer).
To combat this I have redesigned the product to make the brace itself 3 times as thick and near impossible (without a crowbar) to bend up. Also included are some security fasteners (6 lobe centre pin type) to replace the OE ones that are used to anchor the brace to the bike, including a security driver to fasten them. By using aluminium along with stainless steel the brace remains light but very resistant to bending.
At this time (Dec 2024) I believe there`s nothing else of similar construction currently on the market.
Fortunately, our product offers a simple solution to this issue by preventing the TFT display from being easily removed from the dash. The brace utilises four existing mounting points and requires no drilling. As shown in the photo, our product successfully prevented a thief from stealing a customer's TFT screen.
Our brace is easy to install and nearly impossible to remove without tools. It comes with a thorough installation guide and all necessary fasteners. The powder-coated satin black finish gives it a sleek and OEM look, making it a valuable addition to your bike that could save you thousands in repairs and replacement costs.
