The Touratech Suspension Open Cartridge Kit & Extreme Shock Absorber (+25mm) represents the absolute premium class in suspension technology. Simply put, the Open Cartridge Kit acts as a shock absorber for the fork and is installed directly into the original fork assembly. This ensures that the triple clamps, handlebar mounts, brakes, wheel guidance, and steering geometry remain completely intact; no additional modifications to the fork are required. This cartridge is designed to handle the most extreme demands, as well as touring and riding scenarios involving frequently changing or widely varying loads.
The highly adjustable damping system on the rear shock's remote reservoir allows for precise, effective suspension settings tailored to your personal riding style, road conditions, and intended use—whether you are riding on highways, main roads, or narrow backroads; tackling off-road sections; embarking on long-distance trips with heavy luggage; or adopting a spirited, ambitious riding style.
The standard setup is calibrated for riders weighing up to 100 kg (including luggage). Adjustments for significantly heavier loads or other unique requirements are possible; we can customize the setup to your specific needs by installing a spring with a higher rate and modifying other configurations.
